How do I invite someone?
Open your profile (your avatar at the top of the list), then My households › Share. You get a QR code and a link: have the other person scan the QR code, or tap “Send invite” to send the link in a message.
On their side, the person installs kaidashi, taps Join, and scans the QR code (or opens the link). An invite is valid for 7 days.
Can I have several lists?
Yes, one per household. Tap the household name at the top of the list to switch between them, create a new one, or join one. Each household has its own items, stores, and members.
Does it work with no signal?
Yes. You can add, check off, and edit items offline: everything goes through as soon as you’re back online. One exception: to find the name of a product that has never been scanned on your phone, the scanner needs a connection. With no signal, type the name, and it’ll be filled in for next time.
How do I delete my account and my data?
In the app: open your profile (your avatar at the top of the list), then tap Delete my account, at the very bottom, and confirm. You need an internet connection. Deletion is permanent:
- you leave all your households; the ones where you were the only member are deleted along with their list and their photos;
- your account, your first name, the link to your Google profile photo, your Apple or Google sign-in identity, your sign-in tokens, your connected assistants, and your pending invites are erased;
- the items you added to a shared household stay there for the other members, shown as added by “Someone”;
- the kaidashi data stored on your phone is erased.
If you later sign in again with the same Apple or Google account, you start over with an empty account.
Without the app (app deleted, phone lost…): the safest way is to reinstall kaidashi, sign in with the same Apple or Google account, and delete your account in the app. Otherwise, email support@kaidashi.app from the email address of your Apple or Google account: that’s how we can check that the account is really yours. We may ask you to confirm, then we’ll delete your account the same way and confirm it with you, within one month at most.
To clear only this phone, tap “Sign out”; to leave a single household, go to profile › My households › Leave. The details are in the privacy policy.
